1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. Similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage, serve the same purpose and are equally covered by this policy.

They allow the website, for example, to remember the language you chose on your previous visit.

2. The main point: what we do not do

Let us be direct, because this is the information that matters most:

1) we do not use audience analytics tools, such as Google Analytics;

2) we do not use advertising cookies or social network pixels;

3) we do not track you across websites;

4) we do not share browsing data with advertisers or data brokers;

5) we do not build a profile of your behaviour.

The resources we do use are strictly necessary for the website to work, and all of them are listed below.

3. What we use

3.1 Strictly necessary resources

Without them the website does not work properly. They therefore do not depend on consent, on the basis of article 7, item IX, of the LGPD, legitimate interest in the operation of the service, and cannot be disabled.

1) NEXT_LOCALE, a cookie that stores the chosen language, Portuguese, English or Spanish, lasting up to 1 year.

2) santacasa-theme, stored in the browser's local storage, which records the theme preference, light or dark, and remains until you clear your browser data.

3) santacasa-cookie-consent, stored in the browser's local storage, which records your decision about this policy so that we do not ask again on every visit, valid for 12 months.

None of them identifies you. All of them stay on your device, are not sent to our servers and are not shared with third parties.

3.2 Analytics

No resource active at present.

The category exists in the preferences panel because, if one day we begin measuring how the website is used in order to improve it, it will only be activated with your prior consent, and this policy will be updated before that happens.

3.3 Advertising and marketing

No resource active at present.

We have no plans to use advertising on this website. The category exists for the same reason as the previous one: transparency about what the panel controls.

4. Third party cookies

The website does not load third party scripts on its content pages.

When you click links to social networks, such as Instagram and Facebook, or to WhatsApp, you are taken outside our website, and from that point the cookie policies of those platforms apply, over which we have no control.

5. How to manage your choice

5.1 On our website

Use the Manage cookies button, in the footer of any page, to review your decision at any time.

Since today we only use strictly necessary resources, refusing the optional categories changes nothing in your experience, and there is in fact nothing to refuse. We record your choice so that it already applies should those categories come to exist.

5.2 In your browser

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge all offer this option in their help pages and privacy settings.

Blocking the necessary cookies may cause the website to forget your language and your theme on every visit.

6. Where your decision is stored

Your choice is stored in your own browser, not on our servers. We do not create an identifier to follow visitors.

If you have an account in our internal systems, as a member of staff, the record of your acceptance is linked to your account, so that we can demonstrate that it was obtained, as article 8, paragraph 2, of the LGPD requires.

We ask again when you clear your browser data, when 12 months have passed, or when we publish a new version of this policy.

7. Changes

Each version of this policy is numbered and dated, and previous versions remain available in the history on this page. If we begin using resources that depend on consent, we will ask for your decision again before activating them.
